You can probably go 8 weeks before resting 1 week. However, listen to your body...it knows best. And if you take supplements, unless otherwise recommended, cycle every 6 weeks.
Good luck!

I never do that....... BUT when I'm feeling a little tired I take one or two days off -even if it's in the middle of my program. It's true that you should avoid overtraining (it's only BAD for you) but taking off one week and I'll become all frustrated and restless. Yes I know, everybody is different and maybe it'll be good to rest the whole week long. Maybe just do a little cardio and abs then......

You need the week so that your body can recover from the intense 6 or 8 week "torture" you've just put it through. However, doing ab work and cardio are good replacements. As for me, I just end up playing more tennis!
