ft has me on a 3500 calories a day . i was wondering is this not an awful lot to have if you are trying to lose a gut and body fat i have been doing about 1800 to 2000 calories a day. i am getting some very good definition in my muscles and starting to look pretty lean should i keep doing this or should i eat more i just do not want to have that big girth again

I say, if you're happy with your progress, why change it?

You are the only one that really knows your body. If the 2000 cal work for you then stay on it (don't go any lower thou). If you feel tired then add some more essentiel fat or some good carbs.
You shouldn't be loosing more than 1-2 lbs weekly or you are risking to loose muscle mass.
