Diet drinks such as Diet Coke, Diet Sprite. Will drinking to much of it slow you down from burning fat? I only drink diet drinks to satisfy my sweet tooth. And I must admit, I do often get these sweet cravings. Thank you in advance..

The biggest problems that diet sodas may present to an athlete (forgetting the questionable safety of numerous artificial sweeteneters!) are the extra caffiene and the sodium that are present in some of them. This is something only that person will be able to determine by looking at his or her diet.

I have also heard that anything carbonated, regular or diet pop effects how nutrients are absorbed into the muscle. So I stay away from all carbonated drinks. I would say a few pops doesn't hurt.

I have heard and read that even diet sodas can effect your insuline. Okey they wont give you many calories but if you are cutting, you better avoid them too.
