My program calls for vertical bench crunches-I have no such thing as a vertical bench. What would be a suitable replacement exercise?

Just do normal crunches and you'll be okey.

Don't forget that it's all a question about bodyfat.....

You can simply put your feet and calves up on a chair, couch, etc., and do hands behind head and do crunches. Very effective. Do not pull on your head though with your hands on the way up. Just a place to put them.
