Hi, I am a 27 year old female and I have an uneven butt. My left side is noticeably larger with more fat on it. My right nice is perfect. How can I fix it? Should I try to exercise the left side or the right side more? It is really embarrassing.
I am 5'3" and about 115-120 lbs
Thanks so much

Is the problem really noticeable, or just noticeable to you? Everyone has flaws on their body. Do pants fit right on you? I guess that you could try to exercise the left side more if it is more fatty than the right, but don't forget about exercising the right side as well, otherwise you'll have the same problem, only on opposite sides.

Truthfully, you can't "spot reduce", or lose fat in one area specifically...and I would think it can get tricky trying to do something to change this...you could exercise more on the "right" side to build up more muscle, thickening that area, but then again, you most likely will just end up with more definition on that side than the other, so you may not like that result either. I would just concentrate on doing squats, lunges, etc. on both sides, eating right, etc. and maybe with good diet and exercise, those areas will even out. (For instance; if the left side does carry more fat, with good diet and exercise combined, it may whittle down) But, like yessicarathsak said, is it really all that noticeable that it affects the fit of your clothing, etc? Most people have body quirks and it is just more important to be healthy than concentrate on your flaws, right?

It's possible that it is a postural flaw, one thing that comes to mind might be a tight left hip flexor.
Stand with your feet shoulder width apart and with your toes in line. Relax completely and look down at your stomach (without a shirt on of course). Do your hips or stomach tend to rotate one direction or another?
Now stand in front of a mirror with shoes off. Locate your superior iliac crest on either side, this will be the top of your hip bone right underneath your obliques. Does one side sit higher than the other?

Hi,
Yes, it seems like my left side (the side with the bigger butt issue) is rotated forward more. What does this mean? It also feels kind of uneven when I walk but I had it checked and my legs are the same length, although the left one feels like it is longer or something.. Thank you so much.. But what does this mean and what should I do about it?

It means you may have a tight hip flexor on your left side. It's tough to say without an actual analysis and without seeing you.
I'd recommend regular and frequent static stretching. A general prescription would be 3 times a day for 60-90 seconds until the problem corrects itself.
Does either iliac crest sit higher than the other?

I can't really tell if one sits higher than the other. Do you think I should go to the gym and get a trainer or should I go to physical therapy or what do you recommend? It bothers me so much

Like I said, it's tough to determine without seeing.
I wouldn't recommend getting a trainer. Postural assessment isn't something trainers do. A physical therapist might be able to help you. My recommendations are for someone to get pictures taken of them from multiple directions, and if it looks serious, to see a therapist for a consult.
