I've hit a platau... pretty bad one at that. I wanted to try something completely different and new and wanted to see what you guys thought of this: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/beast54.htm
I think it might lead to overtraining but i feel if I get enough rest and healthy diet it might just work out in the end. Any Thoughts?

Getting past the fact that it is called "The Power to be Pretty"...
I have a hard time getting past this...
Three Rep Max = 275 pounds
Week 1: 235
Week 2: 245
Week 3: 255
Week 4: 265
Week 5: 275
Week 6: 285
Week 7: 295
Week 8: 305
Week 9: 315
Week 10: 325
Week 11: 335
Week 12: 345
So this is saying that not only will my 3 rep max go up 70lbs in 12 weeks, but I will be able to do 10 sets with that... I'm not going to say this is impossible, just that I don't think it's possible for you.
Then the article gets into the "Science" behind the rep scheme (which I like actually) and then shows everyone that the author has no knowledge what so ever about the central nervous system other than how to abbreviate it.
Getting past that as well, we break down the plan to see that there are three low rep days based around powerlifting exercises (squat bench deadlift) and three days doing assistance exercises for each of these, the day following the main movement. I'm not sure why this is, since the load is to great for recovery purposes, but it was obviously planned.
While I do like the principles behind it, I don't think this program is doable. I personally don't even think I could do the first week. I'm not sure I could do 10 sets of 3 with 90% of my 3 rep max, but I've never tried.
I, personally, do not like it as a program. If it does work for you though, let me know.

Of course, you can only get through this program while using Scivation's Vasocharge + Xtend.
Cliché.

Well I'm on day two of the plan for the first week... It is definitely unique in the fact that I havn't been this sore in a while :) but I figure I'll keep posting and let you know how it goes.

Day three... just got finished with the 10X3 of benches... quite a bit harder than the squats for some reason... might be the only 7 hours of sleep instead of my usual 10... but I got through them all and plan on upping the weight by 10lbs next week and see how far I get with that... legs are still pretty sore but not as sore as yesterday suprisingly... I thought they would be a little more sore as I did the isolation lifts yesterday but I guess my body is working hard to keep me repaired... let you all know how tomorrow goes

Day four... woke up a little on the sick side... wouldn't say sick but not feeling my best. Went to the gym regardless after a nice big breakfast. Did my isolation workouts surrounding my bench along with some pretty intense calf work. My abs were still pretty sore from Tuesday's ab workout so I let them be. Feeling pretty good for the most part. Tomorrow is deadlift day

What is a back isolation movement? Most of them are fairly compound if I'm not mistaken.

No your right. They are fairly compound. I guess I'm using the wrong word... its just that surrounding each powerlift (bench, squat, deadlift) I've been working out those other muscles that help to bring my max of those lifts up... thats all I meant. I know there is a better way of putting it, its just slipping my mind right now
