Ok as i just finished the original post i closed the window down by mistake so this will be a shorter version :)

Basicly im 17 years old, my %bodyfat is low and ive been thinking of following something like this workout:
http://www.kingofdeadlift.com/2006-10-07/brad-pitts-troy-workout-routine/
So im kinda counting on doing 2 -3 times a week in the gym, and 2x running 30 mins each week.

But as i wrote my bodyfat is already very low so is cardio really a good idea?

Secondly, english is not my native language which may also be why i dont know about some of those exercises that it mentions, eg. arnold press for the upper chest instead.
So when the guide eg. says
Day 1: Upper Chest/ Shoulders, Triceps, Abs

I would do 3 different exercises with each 3 sets of 10 reps for each muscle. Maybe not the abs since i dont really know of that many exercises.

Would that be an ok idea?

Please, enlighten me :)

Sure, give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

There are better workouts out there, you won't hear any of us disput that, but you only know for sure if you try it out.

Well if those workouts would give me the same results or better, then link them please :)
Im still open for other workouts, but keep in mind im aiming towards the kind of body i mentioned, and not a bodybuilder :)

First off there's no leg workouts at all in that schedule. Creating muscle imbalances isn't a good thing.

If your BF is low and you're trying to gain muscle, the cardio will do more harm than good.

Arnold presses - similar to a regular shoulder press where you sit upright and press dumbbells over your head, except you rotate your arms in so you are looking at your palms/knuckles right in front of your face. When you push up rotate back to palms out position.

Ok so i guess i shouldnt do the running? and add in some leg training.

But doesnt the running shape the abs as well or something ? I think the guide says something about it..

I'd avoid anything that says that "running shapes the abs".

Also, I hate to break it to you, but that is a bodybuilding routine, and anything you do to add muscle and lose bodyfat, will be bodybuilding. You can't do a "bodybuilding" routine and then suddenly wake up 6'1" and 280lbs, so stop worrying about that.

Also, if I had 20 weeks to prepare for a movie shoot, I'd probably drop leg training too. But you have more than 20 weeks, and you're not preparing for a photo shoot. I would almost guarantee that Pitt trains legs normally.

Yeah i will be training legs too.
And i think ill do it over 30 weeks :)

Oh yeah and youre completely right about that wake up thing, I somehow imagined myself one day standing in front of the mirror going "oh, crap"

The "guide" says this about the running:
"(While we usually don?t care what type of exercise you do for intervals, here you have to do running because the associated muscular development will give you the lower body similar to Pitt?s)"

Is it not true at all?
Thanks for the help so far :) i appreciate it!

And the other reason why i want to cut out the cardio is because i already ride 2 - 3 km everyday weekday on bicycle, do normal running ~0,75 hours a week, and i play 3 hours of badminton (with a lot of running, pushups etc..) as well every week, so maybe thats enough :/

Good ideas.

Running didn't give brad his legs. But then again, I don't write for a magazine, so can you really trust me?

Honestly, it isn't anything I'd ever do. That being said, your goals sound very specific and this program was created to get those specific goals, right?

Like I said before, try it and let us know how it goes.
