Hey, i just started running, and i am not sure if i'm doing it right. Does anyone have any tips to share to help me run better without hurting my self.
This is my routine: I walk to these sets of stars and i go up & down about 3 times to warm my self up. Then i begin to run about 4 blocks, rest a little, then run. I keep doing this until i get home. But my shins hurt alot when i am done. does anyone have any pointers?

If your shins hurt, you may be doing too much too soon.
Google "beginner running program" and see what comes up - there are alot of sites devoted specificaly to runners, so there are probably better places to get running advice.

listen to your body.... Give your shins a break. After a couple days go out for a short jog. Then take a day off... Go for a longer jog the following day. Alot of beginners blast right into it, and get a stress injury that takes them out of their training. patience is the key when first starting out. good luck.
