In this article the author talks about how working out in a certain way can greatly improve your running and stuff. But he doesn't really go into any specific exercises, i was wondering if anyone knows some exercises that would fall into what hes talking about, the only one I've thought of that might be good is lunges.

The guy starts the article by blaming his genetics for him sucking. I'm not reading any further than that.

Well, as a former runner myself I did some of these types of exercises to help develop my body into a runners one. I found they increased my endurance as well as stamina and my core as well. Good Luck!
Leg Strength: Leg Extensions, Leg Curls, leg Swings, Bicycle Leg Swings, Walking Lunges just to name a few, these are great for quad and hamstring development.
Overall Body Strength: Definitely needed to balance the whole body in harmony and to perform at peak efficiency. I would start out with a good basic full body weight training plan High reps, lower weights to implement with your running.
What type of running plan are you on? Are you training for a marathon?
