I was reading in men's health the other day that people who used a total body routine (consisting of 5 exercises that worked all your body) gained more muscle than those who target certain body parts on certain days.

What do you guys think about this? I can see how it works as working the muscle more often would result in growth surely?

Any thoughts?

It depends on your goals. I prefer a whole body type routine with the odd isolation movement. Do a fit buddy search on this topic... it's been discussed an awful lot.

Go figure. It's amazing that there isn't anyone on this board that has been saying that for years now...

But I guess if men's health says so...
