nope, unfortunately there is nothing you can do to make you taller. At 18 you probably wont get that much taller.

Sorry. All genetics. Usually done growing completely by the age of 21. By then all cartilage in your body is then bone and grows no more. Just keeping eating right. But it's all genetics. :)

All cartilage is bone? That doesn't make any sense. Maybe I just don't know much about it....care to explain?

At the age of 18 I was 71.5 inches and today at 37 I'm still 71.5 inches. Guys stop heigth grow usually at 18 to 19 and some lucky ones my stop at 21 but I have never met anyone in my life that grew taller after 18 to 19 and most I think really reach it at 17.

seriously wtf is the 2 inches going to do for you? stop worrying so much about it and do your best to become great at anything you do...
for every dennis rodman who grew from 5'9 to 6'8 at 19....there are millions of people who stop growing at 15-17....some of my friends didnt grow past 14...that's life...gotta roll with the punches... | |

Sorry ecle5c. Let me explain what I was talking about. When you are born, all of what will become your 206 bones starts as cartilage. It's called hyaline cartilage. As you get older, there are 2 processes in your body that start to convert the cartilage into bone. Now, not all bone is cartilage. Some cartilage remains. For example, cartilage at the end of the long bones called articular cartilage protects bones as they rub together. Costal cartilage connecting ribs to sternum. Cartilage in your nose, trachea, etc. So no, all cartilage is not bone. When a teen/pre-teen starts to mature, their hormones increase (testosterone, estrogen) which slows down the growth of bone. This goes on into the late teens early twenties until all of the cartilage in your bones (mainly long bones) becomes all bone. The cartilage I refer to here are the growth plates located at the end of long bones like your humerus and femur. Hope that clarifies a little. :)
