Which is better for losing weight to eat lunch before exercise or after?
can you have too much of a good thing since starting at the gym I've done nothing but eat fruits,nuts and seed and drinking water and green tea. Am I doing my body any good or am I just flushing all the nutrients down the loo?

I believe fruits are high in sugars so you may want to cut back on those a little and fill in with more vegetables. I think you need to add more protein to your diet also. Chicken, tuna, salmon, lean beef is all good. To lose weight you need to find out your maintenance calories (google search, or I believe there is a function on this
site) and eat 250 less for a week or so. If you start losing weight keep it up, if not cut 250 more.

i think exercising is best before eating.. but you must but eat directly after you finish your sessions...

You don't mention if you are male or female, trying to build muscle or lose fat, etc. More info is needed. It would greatly help us answer your question correctly to your needs if you filled out a profile. :)
