Hey just this week, i have found myself with an extreme lack of energy and i cant seem to figure out why. I know it sounds pathetic but its really got me down and 2/3 of my workouts this week have been AWFUL.

I am regaining my physique for an oncoming shoot but with these energy levels i'm finding it very difficult to perform. My quality of sleep has lessened also, which is further componding the problem.

Had my personal trainer (who is hot) with me wednesday and i almost threw up due to exhaustion...embarrassing.

As some of you know i take plenty of vitamins, essential fats/oils, protein (lots of) etc, so i really cant figure it out. The only thing i assume is perhaps my carb intake is too low, i would say im consuming around 180-250g/day. What would you recommed i take in carb-wise a day, as i'm 6ft2 88kg and currently brininging down my bf%?

P.s. I have read numerous other threads similar to this but cannot seem to find an answer.

Any advice appreciated.

How hot is it where you are? It's ugly hot here and the heat zaps my energy fast,so I do my workouts in the morning before it gets unbareable.Just a drive to the store can wear me out!

Immediate thought is overtraining. Sure sign is lack of energy, irritability, hard time sleeping, etc.

Noone wants to think they are overdoing it, but the body does react when stressed too far. Might be a good idea to take a couple days off. Keep your diet up and clean, and you will have not only reknewed physical energy, but the mental aspect of can't wait to hit again is inspiring.

When you train past a certain point, you are no longer taxing the muscle in any way, you are into the CNS(central nervous system).

If you do 3 sets of an exercise, and have a great pump, will 3 more sets yield more of a pump? You go beyond working the muscle any more.

This is difficult to recover from, once, ok, but do this very often, and well, you get the idea.

BB1, seeing it like that really puts it into perspective. Thanks. How i felt last week is not something I'd want to experience again. Knowing thats its self inflicted, there really is no excuse for a repeat.

Yeah, i had the common (unknowledged) view that i really had to feel "the burn" right after a workout to feel i had achieved a decent workout. Look where it got me.

You were right about how i would feel after a few days out to recover. I feel great, and today at the gym my lifting was alot more controlled and less strained.
