I tried making oatmeal the other day and followed the directions on the box, but my oatmeal turned out really dry, should I be adding more milk? Stupid question, I know...

I add a scoop of protein to my oatmeal, its a good idea if you eat it at night. Decreases the insulin response of the carb.

I usually go 1 cup of oatmeal and 2 cups of skim or 2% milk.. then nuke for about 2 minutes (gotta stir it up after a min and half.. damn cheap microwave).. Usually I also cut up a banana and put that in for some taste... its pretty good.. try it

Hmmm early Saturday morning here and I'm eating my oats.....

Oat meal with one scoop of vanilla protein powder, soy milk, cinnamon and a sliced apple. Everything went into the microwave (I now just burnt my toungue...) and yupti it's ready.

Good breakfast, fibres, proteins, fruit everything.

Yes as Leslie says, when taking your oats at night time, mix it with some proteins to control the insulin spike.

Bon appetit!

Sounds like it might taste good.. the only thing I ever keep with diets is that 'if it tastes good its probably not good for you'....
