Well, I'm a model and with lots of shoots coming up I need fast and effective ways to work out, preferable to lose ALL fat and gain barely any muscle if possible. I'm 5'7 and weigh 125 currently but I hope to get down to about 110. I try and work out 2 hours/day cimbining the treadmill-elliptical-stationary bike. Lately I've been doing 100% fast walking for 90 minutes and stretches. I've been dieting down to aout 800 calories/day. I also drink meal-replacement shakes once daily.
My meals look like this: 1) breakfast = apple, green tea, tea-spoon honey. 2)lunch = 3 Finn Crisp crackers, 1/2 serving peas and corn boiled, 1 slice chicken breast, 1 raw plum. 3)Last meal (3pm) = meal replacement shake. Then I work out for 2 hours burning at least 600 calories but the pounds arent peeling off!! Please help...Any suggestions??? Yeah, and I'm 15 y.o. Desperately need a way to control cravings, supress appetite, effective workout for fat-burn...Any advice at all is MUCH appreciated. Thanks! |

I would take a look at the eating disorders forum. Seriously. And see a doctor.
The reason you are not losing any weight, is because you have dragged your metabolism to a halt. This will not go away, until you change your lifestyle. I can have a client lose weight on a 2500 calorie diet. And thats without ANY, much less 2 hours of cardio. -------------- Iron and chalk. Pain is only temporary, it is in your mind. Somebody...please...step in here! ASIMMER!
JK triple balze. On a serious note, your diet is just lacking something terrible. Your not taking in enough calories/protein/carbs/fats for anybody to be healthy. As for as appetite suppressants, it doesn't sound like you need your appetite suppressed. As for as losing ALL the fat, I can't imagine you having much. The muscle gain you mentioned don't come as easy as you think. It takes a lot of time to build muscle. Even more for women I beleive.(please don't beat me if I'm wrong asmmer/philia) At your age you should be sitting down with your parents and discussing this. If possible have one of them sit in with you when you check your posts so they can be part of your learning experience. This is a lifestyle that will help maintain your overall health, and theirs if they adopt it, it's very beneficial to all. My suggestion to you would be, get them involved. This is a serious web-site that offers very legitamite advice as a rule. I've got three kids and I know I'd want to be involved in something like this, not necessarily as a leader, but more as a partner. Best of luck to you and welcome to FT! -------------- Seize the day! |

Eating disorder waiting to happen if I ever saw one...way too little calories to lose weight....as well as insane cardio workouts...keep in mind that 800 calorie diets are very rarely done with morbidly obese people who are likely to die .....they are placed on liquid diets with additional injections of vitamins/minerals.....these are people who weigh like 500 pounds...and their weight is a higher risk to them than such an extreme diet....they are literally suffocating underneath that weight....you on the other hand at 125lb at 5'7 are considerably thinner than avg girl your age for your height.....you should be eating at least 1500 calories daily...and more like 1800.....to create caloric deficits you need to do smart cardio and weight training...
keep in mind doing same things for training will allow your body to shift into cruise control...you need to vary it...sometimes sprints, sometimes intervals, sometimes distance, etc...don't go over 60 minutes in a row in any one cardio workout...it's good that you vary your activities... You're losing tons of muscle with this diet....you need to eat 5-6 small meals daily...with bodyweight in protein in grams, bodyweight in complex carbs in grams, and about 50g of healthy fats.....which is around 1500 calories.... You also should start lifting weights....this will allow you to boost your metabolism, get a 'lean' look, eat more, etc... Also start taking 10g of fish oil daily, while trying to lose weight....split it into 2-3 doses and take it with meals... | |

IS this a test?
You need some serious help, more than we are qualified. Start by finding a doctor who deals with eating disorders. You are causing your body to eat its own tissue for survival - it will eat muscle, not fat. Eventually it will eat your heart muscle. If you really are a model - talk to some real models - i am sure you will find that they eat sensibly and work out sensibly - the days of anorexia and bulimia running rampant in modeling are over, for the most part. Look at Heidi Klum - she eats, she works out, she is in amazing shape. Look at Tyra, she advocates a healthy lifestyle for models. Step back and re-evaluate the worth of your life/body. Give it more respect and take care of it - dead models don't make any money. ============ Quoting from triple_blaze: Well, I'm a model and with lots of shoots coming up I need fast and effective ways to work out, preferable to lose ALL fat and gain barely any muscle if possible.
