Quoting from bigandrew:
well if your able to throw people around by their throats into lockers....why need to punch?
=============
Boxing isn’t grabbing people by the throats and throwing them against a wall. The situation i used that was to stand up for my girlfriend at school when i did it to him it wasn’t to hurt him or else i would of got suspended i was just threatening him so he wouldn’t do it again and he hasn’t since so i did something right.
Thanks for the advice guys i got my speed bag back so i can work on that ill be doing more squats so i can get a little bit more power and momentum into my shots.

How can I strengthen my punches and speed for when I get back into boxing is there any weight training i can do is there any pacific muscle i should be working on? I don’t have my punching bag with me or any other equipment besides my gym set, which are 2 adjustable dumbbells, barbell and bench.

Technique is the first thing you should focus on. Honestly, most boxers need at least 2 years before they get their punching mechanics down good enough that they really get to the point where they need to start specific prepardness.

Pain is only temporary, it is in your mind. If you can still walk, then you can still run.

Well I am no expert at martial arts or boxing but I have taken some classes. I remember the first thing they taught us in both was to get our breathing right. There is a lot of hidden strength to be found in the way you breathe. By inhaling and exhaling at the right times you can greatly increase the strength and speed of your blows. I have experienced this first hand, so I know it works. You may want to ask your trainer if you are using one to check into these or research themselves.
