I was just wondering, a lot of the time the equipment at my gym is in use a lot. I have to sometimes do stuff out of order, would that affect how much it grows, ie if I do 1 exercise of about 4 sets for back then go to shoulders and back to the back is it not as effective as doing all the back sets and all the shoulder sets together?

You want to do your compound movements first MOST of the time. But, changing the order of your exercises can often be an excellent stimulus for growth and a way to work through a plateau. I explained this more in depth in the plateaus thread.
