I remember that once I was doing regular squats my weight was shooting through the roof but ever since I have been doing front squats it hasn't.... do front squats just not stimulate as much muscle fiber and hence release as much testosterone or what?

Front squats emphasize the quadriceps more, while the back squat, especially done with a wide stance put more emphasis on posterior chain development.
You might just have hit a plateau. Remember, every peak is surrounded by two valleys. Not necessarily always a bad thing.

front squat gonna work the trunk alot more too....as in stabliization wise, cause you have to keep your elbows up, or you'll dump the weight.

No, it is going to hurt the first times or so, eventualy your shoulders will get use to it, don't surprise if that spot is really sore for a while though. Front squats are often a lot more painful than back squats... at least from my experience.

depends. what hold do you use, bodybuilding or olympic? I dont feel much pain when I use an olympic hold. And it allows me to explode better without having to worry about "losing" the weight.

All squats hurt, but the front squat puts more stress on my quads, therefore I cannot lift as much weight, not to mention the positioing of the barbell,(NOT VERY NATURAL). I feel it in my shoulder because of slight injury otherwise it does not bother me (x-over grip). I have been doing regular squats and I feel it more in my glutes and inner thighs, secondary quads, but I'll see tomorrow as I went really low today. It seems front squats are more of a shaping movement, hitting the sweep nicely whereas the regular is such a mass movement, everything gets it.
