Welp, It has officialy been one year since I started my fitness journey. I started at approximately 240 pounds, resting heart rate in the 90s' and was so out of shape I could barely walk two flights of steps!
One year later I now weigh in at 172 pounds (up from a low of 166), have a fairly muscular build and have managed to get my bodyfat down to 12 percent. My goals are slowly being realized a little at a time and I look forward to reaching each new level (although I still don't quite look like John Cena, YET LOL).
I am not going to sugarcoat it. It was a long, hard road and I often wondered whether the effort would pay off in the end. Many a night I contemplated skipping my work out or having that little snack but my desire for a healthier lifestyle proved stronger than my cravings or laziness. The moral of this little diatribe is that if I can do it then anyone willing to stick with it can succeed as well. Don't give up, never get discouraged, embrace the suffering and look to what the future holds.
IT IS WORTH THE WORK!!

Congrats!! I'll be reaching my 1 year in about 4 months also. Amazing to think of the things I can do now compared to this time last year.
Terrific job! Keep up the great work!
