Can you believe I am sick again! Another sinus cold what's up with that? I thought when you exercise you are less prone to sickness...anyway, just one more workout day and I can rest...

Dont forget the vitamins. Your resistance isn't as strong after a workout. Get some rest too.
Get better soon.

Do you regularly take Vit. C and Zinc? This will boost your immune system. And make sure at the very first sign to start loading up on it, 1000 mg. Vit. C, and 50 of Zinc every 3 hours. Also Echinecea is a great immune system booster to throw in there. The earlier you get it the better. What also do you take in the way of vit. after training. YOur system will be down after a hard training session. Those aforementioned vitamins along with a B-Complex100 will go a long way for you. Over time of doing this, you should notice a big dropoff in colds. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about that. Actually right after you exercise your immune system goes haywire. I myself was sick three times in 2 months.

When you workout your body needs extra nutrients and your normal supplement of mult min and mult vit do not cut it during cold season especially. If you are utting/exercising you are not going to get the extras the body needs.

Vitamin C and zinc help the body in more ways than one. Space out 2000mgs of Vitamin C throughout the day. Anything your body does not need will be eliminated. Take this at the onset of a cold and continue this for 2-4 weeks.

If you have a full blown cold doing this will help too.

Hope you feel better.

LOL BB1 we were writing at the same time.

Hey you said to 1000 mg every 3 hours. About how much would that amount to in a day?

Curious because 2000 mgs worked. I do not want to confuse anyone. Since we are differing on this.

Well, you are right about the body expelling what it doesn't need. The thing is that in this case, more can be better. At least if you "flood" the system, you are sure to have enough. Just a practice I have been following for quite a long time. We are not really differing, I just prefer a more shall we say preemptive strike! Anyway, the important thing is to get it early. My first symptoms are normally sneezes. I immediately start. If you wait too long, and the virus gets germinated in you, then you pretty well have to ride it out, though the vit.'s can/will help shorten the duration. You are a good poster, like to read your posts. They are usually right on the money.

Thank you.
You want to know what I like about this community? The support and encouragement that comes just at the right time. I have been going through a difficult time lately and reading what others have posted or sent me have truly made my day. My week! Thank you to all who have helped me out unknowingly.

Well this clears it up for the Vit C approach. Have a great week all! :)

Do you have kids? I think Its just a thing when you have children, they bring things home.
You can still work out when your sick-it has no effect on your recovery- You just feel like crap.

My dad always used to stew up a pot of peppers, onions, garlic and cayenne. He stuck for a week, but the sniffles were done for.
