Thank you Freetrainers. Here is my story over the past four months.

I don't remember how or why I found this site, but it changed my life. I read the board for about two weeks starting April 1. Then around April 15 I put most of the reccommendations into practice. I chose to cut first, rather than bulk because, hey, it was summer time and I wanted some quick results. Also, I didn't have access to a fitness center and/or spotter. Anyway here is a before and after description:

Before:
----------
6'
210-215 lbs
Neck 17"
Waist 38"
Flabby, no energy, eating two big meals a day, snacking before bed
6 hours of sleep per night
3 16 oz cups of coffee in the morning to keep me going

Now:
-------
6' (no improvement here hehe)
175lbs
Neck 16"
Waist 32"
Veins visible in biceps, shoulders, forearms, calves
Eating 5-6 times per day, cottage cheese at night
Lots of energy
Getting more rest at night 7-8 hours (i'd get more but I have three kids)
Getting checked out left and right by the ladies, including my wife =)

Future Goals:
-------------------

Summer is just about done - gonna head to the gym to bulk. May have to use machines since so far I haven't found a lifting partner. Raise calories from around 2200 to 3200. Will bulk through the winter, then cut for next summer.

What I did:
---------------
Diet - Healthy eating - 40% protein 35% carb 25% fat
Lots of water
Multivitamin
Fish oil
Protein powder
Cottage Cheese

Weights - Went as heavy as I could safely with squats and bench. Worked other muscle groups as advised - 3X8 or so until muscle fatigue

Cardio - Biking/Jumprope/Swimming/Running - 4 times per week. Pulled the kids in a trailer behind my bike for more resistance. Would stretch cardio sessions 60 - 75 minutes if I had the time. Otherwise would go 30 minutes at as high intensity as I could keep up.

Sleep - No more going to bed around 1:00am. Got to sleep around 11:00pm.

Got a tan too! That helps for appearance =)

Thanks Freetrainers!
