i know this is another frequently asked question but i want to know for my self...
im 6'0" and i weight about 120 to 125 pounds...and yeah u guessed it, im skinny, but not skinny im skinny skinny, i mean like chop sticks skinny and well i wanted to ask how to gain mass and muscles quick...ive been critisized about my appearence by friends and family and people doubt that i can do hard work. (i.e. lifting hevy objects) I mean im skinny, and people around usually pick on me about it or never takes me seriously about anything because im skinny...and yeah, ive been picked on at school and pushed around since im small and not strong but dont get me wrong im not like a loser or something but i find it hard to gain weight and muscles...ive been working out and notthing seems to be happening to me. i would work out but eventually stop from exaution and when i get a light dizzyness in my head. I dont eat a 3 course meal but i try to but i dont know what to eat in he mornings and afternoons and evenings. yeah i know it sounds like im complaining but im juss trying to figure out what can help me in getting to my goal. one of a goal of mine is becoming a football player, mainly a running back, and with peoples tips and help i can maybe have confidence in me to approace ppl, mainly girls and have more better appeal. so if theres any one that can help me out there, there help would be greatly appreciated.

Lets start with the basics: do you weightlift yet?

sounds like a good starting point Irondog, but the 10-8-6 routine only works for so long. I'd have him alternating that with maybe, say... a 5-3-1 day for strength.

The gallon of milk is a great idea. Old school, but nonetheless... I remember in Supertraining by Mel Siff, the squats and milk routine. 20 rep breathing squats followed by loads of milk. It was raw, but it worked.

"ive been critisized about my appearence by friends and family and people doubt that i can do hard work. (i.e. lifting hevy objects)"

"and yeah, ive been picked on at school and pushed around since im small and not strong"-even if he was ONLY looking to build mass, the strength that you gain from doing lower reps will help you build mass.

Think about it... Whats going to build muscle better. 3 sets of 6 curls at 85lbs? or 3 sets of 6 curls at 100lbs? Answer seems kind of obvious, but many people neglect strength in favor of mass. Besides, if he want's to play football, hes going to need some strength. I don't see how you can post that someone "doesn't need strength". Even bodybuilders need a strength day every now and then. I was suggesting one strength day mixed with one hypertrophy day.

As far as the protein shake goes, if your male, and you want to supplement, stay away from soy. It can mess with your hormones and decrease testosterone production, along with a host of other problems. stick with whey if you want to supplement, but a gallon of milk a day is more than enough protein (128 grams). I would even go so far as saying that along with the rest of your diet, you may not even need the eggs, although it is important to eat every hour.

Don't forget your quality carbs, like sweet potatoes, brown rice and other whole grains, and vegetables! You need lots of nutrients to train heavily and recover from it.
