Children under 15 do not need the extra protein at that time. And pregnant women have to be care ful of wht they put in because fo the baby

they don't want a law suit dealing with kids or pregant women - kids don't need the extra protein like Mutt said
there is too much that can cause a baby harm that they don't want to be apart of

thanks guys now can you answer the question... i know they obviously are saying it to save there ass and kids and pregnent women may not need it but to what degree can this have as a bad side effect on them... why would they need to save there ass... obviously cause it has a side effect think about it... but what difference is a 15 to a 16 or 14 yr old kid... people mature differently.. ive seen a 22 yr old look like a 12 year old and vice versa... so someone answer the question why would they need to be saving there ass?? what are side effects ?

I don't know about the reason for kids, but I do know that some of the protein bars are fortified with vitamins and pregnant women need to avoid excess vitamin A as it can cause birth defects.

just because what they "look like" doesn't mean a thing......a metabloism....hormone levels....etc.....WILL be different from a 12 yr old.......from a 15yr old.

Alot of it is for food allergies i'd guess......a 15 year old.....may not know he allergic to somthing in a protein bar or somthing.. who knows......everyone is sue happy nowadays.
