Quick question... I have been going to my Local Fitness Store. Which is known to be a very reputable bodybuilding place, and the ex-pro there was telling me not to eat ANY complex carbs on my days not working out...(just veggies) Now this is very hard for me to do. My stomach starts hurting when I dont eat enough carbs... Is this correct info and is this something that I will get over as my body starts feeling really weird and my stomach hurts a lot when I try to follow this...

i think he got it backwards....all you want to eat are complex&fibrous carbs......ie sweet potatoes, yams, brown rice, lentils, beans, soy.....while avoiding simple carbs like white rice, potatoes, pasta, white breads....etc.....only times you can eat simple carbs are right after your workout....with protein....complex carbs keep you satiated longer and help keep up with your diet...

He is kind of in an offhanded way referring to a carb cycling type diet. There are many ways to do this, and this can be one. It is a bit extreme, I believe there are better ways to go about it. What he is suggesting will in fact work, but it is a type of thing you really have to get used to, and want really bad. You may not be able to do this.

Good to see you back...!
How did the running routine go? Did you master the HIIT routine and did you get over the shin splints?
cheers,
Warren./

Hi Warren-
I did in fact get much better on my running routine, my husband and I are currently running 1min 8mph 1min 4mph, for about 15-20 mins and its working very well for him he has lost about 3% bodyfat... me not so much results. I bought new running shoes (Oasics gel kayano) and haven't had one shin splint since!!! my knees have been acting up lately though, so I am having to roll them out and stretch real well to keep the knee pain down...
