I have been working out steadily for almost a full year now. In the last 3 months I have really stepped up the intensity and have seen weights jump up. My squat increased almost 100 lbs, deadlift 150, incline bench around 50. But I can't seem to increase flat bench press hardly at all.
I can close grip bench almost as much as regular bench. That just doesn't seem right to me.
Also when I do bench it feels like I work my shoulders a lot more. I touch the bar to my chest, but don't bounce. Could this be due to my grip? Maybe I should go closer together, but I thought that a little wider used chest more.
