Hello everyone, im new to this site. I always wanted to start a training program but i don't have access to a gym. I only have a set of dumb bells at home which i can use. I wish to cut a bit of fat and maybe gain a bit of muscle mass. can this be done at home with only a pair of dumb bells? should i include running or bike riding in my workouts? i am committed to following a program and diet. any advice? a good program will help. i'll appreciate it alot.thanks!

Yup.. you can do a ton with ton with dumbells... there is a fitness routine on FT that is for working out at home...
Yes, include some running or bike... some sort of cardio...
Also, fill out your profile and welcome to FT!

Thanks for the reply TimDay. I tried to create a home program. it was fine but it did not include any dumb bells however when i chose the muscle gain program it included a bar bell and a bench which i dont have. what do u recommend? that i use the muscle gain program and try to stubstitute the bar bells exercises with dumb bells?. Or use the home training program and include dumb bell exercises? And if so what exercises do you think i should do?

Pretty much any barbell exercise can be replace with dumbbells.
