Hi, everyone.
My first questions is a little silly probably, but I'm cluless, what do you want?...
I was wondering about the muscle composition of the gluteus area. I was wondering was the difference between muscular glutes and flabby glutes are. I'm thin, but my butt seems like all flesh, except when I squeeze the muscles, then it hardens and seems like it's mainly muscle with a relatively thin layer of fat on top, although a little dimpley for some reason. I was wondering, when people say you can bounce a quater off someone's ass, they obviously mean that it's very muscular, but when it's muscular is it that way all the time or only when squeezed/flexed.
Wierd question, I know...

If there is no fat sitting on it, it is hard most of the time... Sounds like you are thin, but maybe carrying some excess fat.

You're probably right, but I'm trying to figure out where exactly I am. I was gonna start running to cut the little bit of flab around my midsection, but I don't want to burn off my butt in the process and be flat, so I'm trying to figure out how much muscle, if any, is back there.
When I'm relaxed, I can press into the flesh on my ass, when I flex, I can do it much less. But, it's usually always soft unless I flex. Does that mean it's mostly fat?

No, it means you need to work that area. If you do not do resistance training your muscles will be soft. working them by lifting weights will make your muscles denser and harder.
