Crispy's gym for me. I like the solitude. Working out for me is almost like meditation, I always feel at peace after I'm done. Plus I am changing my body for the better.

hey fellow workout enthuisiasts my question is as the thread is titled What gym do you guys train at and what do u think your gym could do to improve ? i am a member at workout world in new jersey and i think they could improve the music because i am sick of hearing brittney spears and avril laveigne. it is a little hard to be amped up when your listening to a new version of my prerogative. anyways thanks for the time..laters

golds......not free.........but ok......rec center at college is free, but not enough stuff for the people that use the center, i have to about take a number for the bench press, cause the idots that do chest an donly chest hog it.

At golds
Wish they would spread the stuff out more, and not buy all hammer strength stuff, just cause the crome machines match the decor.

Golds Gym. No it is deffinately not free especially if you get a trainer. i could just train at school for free, but naw I'd rather be with the guys at gold's. I feel like I belong there.

The music really sux in this gym! Every once in a while they have it on 99.5 (oh wait that's only here) well it's a rock station. Sometimes they have on some thuggish music and some love songs and stuff. How the hell are you supposed to pull out a set intensely with that kind of music in your head? grrrr....

Princesslodgey's gym. Not the best equipped, but the equipment's always free, the subs are low, and the music is whatever I choose :)

I work out at a gym called Popeyes. the music sucks but that is what iPods are for. everything else there is awesome. (www.popeyesgym.com) Never too many people there, and because it is for a more serious crowd you don't get the huge spikes in population come spring...or people standing around chatting over one machine for 45 min.

Fitness University. I dont care about the music because I dont need music to workout. The equipment is good, and it is not always packed, so I like it.

By the way, my gym used to be gold's, but the owner didn't pay his bill or something so he had to change the name. Lucky for me I got a travel pass when I first joined, so I still go to gold's when I am out of town:dumbbell:

I paid an up front fee of about $400 just for membership, and $20.00 per month for however long you want. There are some good things though. You can have up to a month of a freezed account. meaning you can tell them to not charge you for up to a month if you get sick or hurt yourself or something that will keep you from training.

I just bought a weight bench and some free weights for my basement, so all my workouts are done there. I just got out of college back and June and am disappointed I didn't work out at the gym there while it was there and free for me to use. Just to busy to start a workout routine I suppose. I kinda wanted to be ripped already before I started working out in public (I know that sounds stupid :))

Aspen Athletics..VERY nice gym, runs us around $80 a month and has sauna, pool, not tub, TONS of cardio equipment, and plenty of free weights, basketball gym, spinning class, and extra classes. When we move in Feb to Davenport, Ia I will be in a new gym so I can train with Pat Miletich and his crew (MMA Champion and his partner in the Gym is a ex-Pro bodybuilder)
