Hi,

I'm doing a lot of cardio and heavy lifting for fat loss. I've been doing this for 2 months now. I'm also trying to gain some muscle and get a little stronger. I know that you can't gain muscle mass while losing fat, I'm more about getting more lean tissue and toning my body. Will creatine help me at this point? or should I wait before adding creatine to my routine.

Thanks

If your doing alot of cardio make sure your getting plenty of water. researce is vague weighter creatine helps 1rep strength or actual explosiveness. But it does help in muslce contraction and endurance of the muscle fiber itself. Like putting high octane fuel( creatine and proper diet) in your car(body/muscles), same motor( muscles) but better gas milage( muscle contraction, and endurance to do so)

Yes, I use creatine while cutting. It helps me to faster recovery. Just drink at least 3-4 liters a day. :)

how can you build muscle and reduce fat at the same time?

To lose body fat you need a caloric deficet.......to build musle you need a lil extra. How can you have a deficit, as well as extra to build?

Creatine is a cell volumizer, this is where it pulls water into the cell. With a good creatine, there should be no subcataneous water gain, and you will be fine. Creatine will aid your explosivness, and strength, thus offsetting a bit of the strength loss from lack of calories from diet. (this is normally ineveitable) Creatine is fine on a cut.

You don't need a calorie deficit to lose fat. You need a calorie deficit to lose weight.

Well to a certain degree yes you can be able to lose fat and put on a little bit of muscle (actually you don't put on that much, but since you are losing fat you just look more muscular!).
If you want to put on some SERIOUS lean mass then you'll need the fat. With the diet and fat loss you'll risk less energy and strength as well, and for real muscle building you'll need that! :dumbbell:
