My son brought home the Playstation 2 game DDR Max: Dance Dance Revolution. It is the game that has the arrow pad on the floor and you dance to the music stepping on the correct arrows on the floor pad.

We tried it about bedtime, and my wife and I were up for another 90 minutes trying to beat the training sessions. I'm pretty sure we both reached our target heart rates before we finished. I've spent this whole day watching EBay to pick up the game with two dance pads for the cheapest price. This is a fun way to get your cardio workout in, have some fun, learn some eye-feet coordination, and spend time with the kids. Plus, when you go to the arcade, they will have this game there also.

You are so right. My daughter's friend, lost 7 pounds this summer from that. It is just amazing. At least the kids (and you too) will get even more exercise.

My kids just got an "Eye Toy" for the PS2 not long ago. Funny thing is they see it as a game, but also will look at me mater of fact like and say "Daddy, I am playing the Eye Toy so I can get some exercise" Rather funny, but it is also true depending on the game you find on it.
Might need to look into the DDR as well.

Ok. I got DDR Max along with two Dance Pads (that also work as controllers, if you desire to play mortal combat with your feet ) for just shy of $50 on EBay. That's a good price, and would be cheaper than a family membership to the gym, as well as less work than going to the park.

I played a cop game, in which when you move your player moves except for walking moving out of the way , ducking and side to side, is controlle dby your body movements. MAn i did like 100 bw squats on the 1st level. That sa good workout oo, not so as much by the dance thing, but a lil more "masculine" lol

Yeah... It may be more masculine, but I saw the way ALL the girls (of ALL ages) looked at the guy who decimated the dance game at the amusement park. He did two songs, tore them up, looked great in the process, had 15+ chicks drooling at him, handed the rest of his tokens to a kid (about 10 yrs old), and walked out of the building. The chicks all had to wipe the dirt off their tongues. :surprised:

I was NOT that guy, dangit!
