Hey, was just wondering how long all of you have been training for?
And also what made you start training?

I've been training for about 5 years.
I joined a health club because of the swimming pool, but thought I'd get my money's worth by having a look at the gym as well. Before I knew what was happening, I'd been given a gym induction and a program to follow, and I was trapped! There was no way out!

I've been training now for about four months and I think I am addicted!! All I seem to think about lately is goin to the gym and lifting weights! Do you think this is too soon and that I may get fed up if I overdo it?

Not too soon at all! Exercise can be a healthy addiction, as long as you are still making time for the people in your life.
The best way to avoid getting fed up is to change your routine every 8-12 weeks, and this also helps you make gains quicker.

Yeah I try to make plenty of time for the people in my life.
Yeah change would be a good idea! Iv been doing the same routine now since I started, but I still LOVE IT!!
The only thing I am scared of is liking it too much and then perhaps a few months down the line getting sick of it.
Although that change of routine thing might help that. thank you for responding princesslodgey

I have been training 2-3 years.
I lost my job and my husband said instead of finding a new one right away, take some time off, join a gym and get a trainer. I never really belong to a gym, but I was athletic as a kid. I found a gym a felt comfortable in and signed up with a personal trainer. 8 months later I competed in my first triathlon. I have not looked back since!!

'bout a year and a half....
I sit at my job all day, so I'd gained a ton before I joined a fitness challege in town... been involved since February of 2003... good habit to have!

I've been training for a couple of years now. I was 6' 155 pounds, I think thats enough of an explanation why I started training hahaha. Also being Mestizo ( 1/2 Filipino & 1/2 White ) I wasn't blessed with the genetics of being strong and had trouble lifting a bag of rice LOL. Feeling good about yourself, a way to relieve stress, always being healthy and engergized are only a few reasons why I continue to train.

I've been training for about 17 years.
My brother, who was an NPC bodybuilder, was the one that pulled me into this world of health and fitness.

I started lifting on a regular basis 8 years ago when I was thirteen, but I finally started to learn what I was doing and pushing myself really hard about 5 years ago. And it always stays exciting to see new gains.
-------------- I have some good news! I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Gieco!
