I’ve promised myself that I might have an indo board (see: www.indoboard.com) when I reach my first short-term fitness goal. Now, I’m going to get one no matter what because I adore new toys, but I’m very curious as to just what playing with it will do for me on a fitness level. Here are the areas on which it seems (through reading on the internet, so who knows?) to have a profound effect:
1) Balance (duh)
2) Core muscles (how exactly are these different from abs?)
3) Legs and lower back?
It would be splendid to have the smart peoples’ advice on this – is the indo board a great tool or just a fun toy?
Anyone else have a reward you're eagerly anticipating?

That looks difficult. I'm glad I bike now, or I'd have to get one of those. Maybe I'll get the kids one for Christmas. Then I can play with it also. :angry::cool:

Good lord.... that looks tough.. I've seen some street performers use those things... maybe I'll get one, throw a fedora on the ground and start busking!:big_smile:

Friend has one.. I've used it and personally I think it's more of a fun "street toy" to go bring to the beach with a hat on the weekends rather than a useful tool.. atleast for the money. Yes it actually will and does build balance, however I really think it won't be noticable on your legs / lower back / core muscles, and I believe this is more appealing to the 13-16 year old guy for doing 'mad tricks' on.. rather than for someone interested in fitness.
