I love mac-n-cheese, chocolate chip cookies & chips n dip! It's only 2 days on my diet...and I'm goin thru withdrawals!! Of course, guess I am gonna 'cheat' with a couple margarita's tonight!!! :)
If I can get over the sugar withdrawals...I think this diet isn't 'that' bad...just don't tell my training friend I said that..LOL...I'm givin him a hard time about what he chooses for me to eat.

i have a dumb question... I have a sweet tooth. When i am craving i always go for the cookies or cakes... My question is this. When dieting and excersise, do you guys allow yourselfs these kinds of Yummies? How often would you have a slice of pizza? or a piece of cake? Do you give them up for life? Im just curious .

I overdosed on Pumpkin Pie during Thanksgiving!

See if you diet is clean all year round the occasional slice can't hurt you.

Only thing that happened to me with the Pumkin Pie was the sodium overload got me to retain water wich last only 2 days.

I had to learn that water retention wasn't fat gain and once I did that I understood I didn't gain fat from a cheat snack and everyone retains water nobody has perfect days everyday.

You must have really OD'd on pumpkin pie to get a sodium overload! There are only 88 mgs. of sodium in a slice.

I try to follow the 90% rule. If 90% of your meals are perfect, it should not make a noticeable difference in your results. So, 10% of your weekly meals can deviate from perfection.

The only thing I cut out for life is Processed Foods. MSM said it right. If you eat healthy there is room for sweets.

A little discipline at the table and at the gym might help reduce that belly!

Shanda, some of those used to be on my list, but over time eating clean I really don't crave them anymore. But there are two things that I will never say no to is creme brulee and crispy chicken skin (I cannot force myself to discard the skin if it is brown and crispy...I cannot.) But eeww...I know that sounds like a weird combination. No, I wouldn't eat them together.

msmo... i agree with you on that one.... creme brulle + crispy chicken skin = one major stomach situation but hey you are talking to someone that eats cereal sprinkled w/ m&m's on it lol

Alright, I'll add to this.

First off, there should be categories like:
Appetizers -
Who doesn't love cheesesticks, or chips and dip or salsa, or Calamari (if it's from a good resaurant).

Main Course -
Lasagna (homemade), and chicken and dumplings which I also make at home (and despite I am a yankee from Michigan, I roll mine out with a rolling pin and slice them up). There's too many to list

Sides -
French fries and onion rings (not at the same time though).

Dessert -
I make the best Lemon Cheesecake on the planet, not to mention a pretty good chocolate one.

But just as an all out reach for it item? I mean I used to go to the store and buy a roll of chocolate chip cookie dough, and they would never make it to the ove. It would last a while and when I wanted a little treat, chop off a piece of the cookie dough and just eat it raw. UMMmmmmm.

I'm with msmo, the time spent eating well has really limited my cravings. But, if someone were to hold a gun to my head and force me to eat something unhealthy (like it would be THAT tough! ha ha), I would have to go for Cool Ranch Doritos dipped in Sour Cream. That is my all time guilty pleasure. But, one chip dipped in the sour cream will send me back to my hold habits FAST, so I stay away. I also love frozen pizza, Gyros, Nachos with everything on them. I also love hot dogs, and Cheddar Wursts and Dairy Queen Blizzards. I love cheese nips and french fries and corn dog nuggets. Best ever (wouldn't even have to hold a gun to my head for this), white chocolate Amaretto fondu with bananas, pound cake, brownies, strawberries, etc. for dipping. If I could eat that every day (can't afford it!) I would be one happy little fat woman! ;)
