My personal definitions are as follows:

lean = low bodyfat
ripped = cut = reducing bodyfat to show muscle definition and striations
buff = muscularly attractive
toned = a girly word for 'no jiggle in the wiggle' ?

To get them you have to follow the instructions provided here on the site, such as a 12 week gaining cycle to build the muscles, then a cutting phase to reduce the body fat and be 'ripped'.

jakers, you cant expect people to help you if you don't fill out your profile....we have to know you how old you are, your weight, training experience, current program, etc....my guess is that you're unlikely to get a response or ones that won't do you much good....I suggest browsing these forums....search with feature at the bottom of the site.....

Try a free routine from freetrainers - you fill out the info under "Exercise Program" at the top of the screen and it will generate a workout for you. Follow it, eat right and stay focused by setting mini-goals to keep you on track.

Asimmer's answer to your post is a good one and the same I would give. If you post this in the powerlifting forum, you'll get insight from a few people that share your same interests. Make it a new thread there and give it a title like "basketball training help" or something along those lines. I know several people that will pick it up. Good luck and welcome to FT!
