Hey, guys/girls...how's it going? I realize this subject is pretty off topic...so I created a new one haha. It's about getting rid of canker sores! Going on a hot date this weekend? Don't want your date to think you have herpes simplex (haha), well fear not, because I've just the solution. Sprinkle a small amount of salt directly onto the sore(a large enough amount to fully cover it, but not so much that you're going to give yourself jaundice). Your sore will be completely gone in 2-3 days. Beware, however, as you will experience many new dimensions of pain as the sore is being burnt away -- not for the faint of heart! :big_smile:

Lysine - some people get them from eating too much rice. I believe there is an enzyme or Amino Acid that will cause canker sores. I have used Lysine and had good sucess.

Are we talking canker sores or cold sores/fever blisters here? Big difference.
cold sores/fever blisters are actually herpes.
Canker sores on the other hand you can get from allergies, for instance if you are allergic to glutens, like in wheat bread and other foods containing glutens. But wheat is one of your main culprits to drop first.

Just remember
Canker = IN the mouth
Cold = OUT of the mouth

Ah HA. (that's what I thought).
I went on a sushi binge last weekend.. the next day I had canker sores inside both cheeks; must research that rice theory further.
Getting to be a chronic problem for me:(

Shellfish can be a huge problem with allergies, and canker sores can be one of the reactions.
