I feel sloppy and want to get in the gym so bad but i know i need to stay out but it's been hard. I feel guilty like i'm not doing the right thing. I feel like my muscles are getting weak and sloppy.I'm just not very happy right now. I need to relieve some stress in the weight room but that's not possible till monday it's going to be a tough weekend. Anyone else here hate their weeks off? I want to get back to building muscle, i also find myself more bored now than ever. Lifting gives me something to do with my time now all i've been doing is sleeping and sitting around. Is there anything i can do like some cardio just to get in there and feel active? Thanks for listening to me bitch:)

Justin....yu say you want to get back to building muscle. Well, if you are eating correctly, you are probabaly building more muscle now than if you weren't off. Remember something very important, if you lift heavy all the time, your muscles can normally keep up. But there are other vital factors that need rest, ligments, tendons, nerve endings, joints. You are putting extreme amounts of pressure on them, and they are not as strong for the most part, and may be the best reason for you to rest. How many times have you heard of someone tearing a ligment, or tendonitis?:surprised:

Another thing to.........if you think your getting weak and sloopy, that will be how you will feel when you get back to the gym, just concentrat on resting and thinking about how much bigger and strong you will be when you hit the room again

I just had 6 weeks off with appendicitis so count yourself lucky!
I found that spending time looking at message boards online was the best way to cope with the boredom!

How often should one take a week off? I have been working out 5 out 7 days since mid January -- when should I target to take a week off...

I finished an 8 week program lifting heavy and added 2 weeks of low weight high rep on at the end. I will take next week off and then start the 12 week mass program. I plan to spend my off week psyching my self up for this lift heavy mass program. I plan to eat about 250 calories per day less than usual and do a little cardio. Other than that I will just lift mentally.:dumbbell:
