Are the only things that cardio burn off, fat and carbs?
And also, don't you need carbs to grow, or was that proteins? Because i have been charting my height for the past 2 months and i've seemed to grow alot less then before i did cardio..but then again i guess its genetics..(Im only 5'5 and already 16!!!)
Thanks

If you are not giving your muscles the nutrients they need, cardio can be pretty detrimental to muscle growth by using the lean tissue for fuel.

How often per week should cardio be done? Im doing 2 times a week of HIIT at 15 minutes. So I get around 30 minutes or so....Should I do more?

Do the amount you need to make you happy with your "gains". In other words, if doing 2 sessions of HIIT at 15 min. each as you are now is getting you where you want to be, then so be it. Guage it to your needs, and cardiovascular health. There is no such thing as a "certain amount" is optimal. Each person is an individual, and you must guage your cardio accordingly, just as you specialize a weight training workout that works for you.
