I know that I am going to get hammered for this, but I have to ask. For the past 4 weeks I have been back on my 3500 calorie diet; 6 meals and 1 protein shake after I workout. The problem (if you choose to call it that) is that I crap 2-3 times a day. Is this normal? This is a legit question that I would love to get feedback on.
For those of you that can provide feedback, I thank you in advance. For those of you that are going to respond rhetorically (Charlie) I cant say I do not deserve it. -------------- Hec da Rec in full effect. |

well whats not absorbed by the body has to go somewhere, however if your doing this everyday, then I think your wasting your money your just litterlly shitting it away. Back off on the calories a lil bit, cause whats not used by the body is whats getting crapped out. Plus i'm 250lbs and I only take in 3000 at the most lol plus if you eat alot of fiber then that could paly a part too.......perosnally i'm a moring and night craper my
self lol -------------- ---andrew.......adversity causes some to break, but others to break records! LEAVE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR!! |

How long have you been on this current diet (where you've been having this "issue")? It could be that your body is just getting used to it. Any time I do a drastic change to my diet, it takes a little time for my body to adapt, and I have similar problems. Also, there are several other things that lead to this: high fiber (good); high H2O intake (good); poor protein absorbtion (bad); intestinal virus (bad); etc., etc.
High caloric intake may not, in and of itself, be a culprit. When I was still competing, I would easily surpass 6000 kcals/day. And, since I didn't just jump into eating that much and worked my up to it, though I was regular, I was not "intestinally challenged," to put it nicely. -------------- Michael Trample the weak; hurdle the dead! Rev thank you for your intelligent insight. I would fall into the high fiber high h20 intake category. As foor poor protein absorbtion, intestinal virus, I really have no way of knowing. I am about a month into it and lets just say for the year prior I was not on a good nutrition plan. So yes I jumped right into it. I am not going to cut back on my calories because I am not forcing myself to eat and I feel good. -------------- Hec da Rec in full effect. |

Some health professionals say you are supposed to go after every meal, so i think you are just really regular.
Just because it is coming out, does not mena nutrients aren't getting absorbed. Think of it like those pencils with the little lead pieces that you have to push through from the top, the new food pushes the old food through and it has to exit. Not a problem unless it is uncontrollable or painful. -------------- "To be able to go to the gym and train hard is a joy and a privelege, even though the hard work necessitates driving yourself through considerable discomfort. You may want to go to your local library and check out the children's book titled "Everyone Poops" (I am not kidding, it really exists!!!) It isn't too scientific, but might make some good reading material for when you are on the pot (smirk)

I don't know what your complaining about Hec. I wish I could be as regular as you! I seem to get mad constitpated everytime I make a modification to my diet... Depending on how much training your doing, 3500 Kcal/day isn't an extraordinary amount, though well above average. Many endurance athletes exceed that amount by quite a bit, and every individual is different. On the more extreme end, some pro cyclists may consume up to 10,000 Kcal/day during events like the Tour de France.
See how this works for you if you notice your body fat increasing, then it's too much. If your mass is increasing but your body fat is decresing then it's fine. In either case, keep the junk food minimal. |

My ex-wife actually did spike a drink of mine with ex-lax. The was certifiably psychotic, though, and I don't think domination had any weight in her actions.
