I am pretty new to freetrainers so forgive me if this question has been asked a thousand times. I am serving in Iraq and it is the rainy season right now. The problem is that our gym is outside, so when it is raining, which is almost every day, I cant workout. Is there anything I can be doing inside, besides pushups that will help? I havent worked out in 2 weeks and my energy level is going down. Thank you for your help in advance.

Chinups, triceps dips, dips. Or better yet, find an empty space and you and some of your fellow soldiers move your stuff inside.

thank you for the advice. I dont know if our little rooms will have enough space to do much in the weight. But I sure can do the dips and things. Thank you for your time

How about squats, lunges, step-ups for the lower body. In addition, you can use some ammo cases like dumbells and really get a good creative workout

This kinda wierd sounding, but I'm broke and haven't been able to afford a gym membership or a lot of cash for weights... so, I filled four 4 litre milk jugs with sand (should be some around you ;) albeit a little wet) and stuck a broom handle in the handles... taped the ends so the jugs wouldn't slip off... turns out to be a half decent barbell... the four filled jugs weighed about 67 pounds.. as the sand settled, I added more... looks silly, but it's cheap and just as effective as a barbell.. just not terribly ajustable.... haha...

Geez TIM...that's commitment. Makes me thankful that I have a membership to a gym. Pretty soon you'll be taping your family members to the edges of a broomstick and using them as weights. LOL

hahahaha.... it looks rather silly too...
But really, think about it, the family member thing isn't such a bad idea... I do have two kids, who will get bigger as time goes by, so that might solve the adjustable weight problems... hahaha.. actually, my Dad scored me some of his weights... he's doing a different exercise program now... so I guess I can unload the milk-bell now... haha...

I seem to recall trying to get you to take some resistance bands and a swiss ball over there with you for times just like this. Now don't you wish you had listened to your wife? ;)

timday,
there isnt any milk jugs in Iraq. They drink soy milk and it comes in a small container. But I think that I can find something that will work.
My wife, I guess that has been my problem for along time, I should always, always listen to you. Your about 99.9999% right most of the time. I love you and miss you
