If you do the digital music thing, mp3 players are great for working out. They are tiny and never skip, and there are some really good ones at affordable prices now. Sorry If I didnt really answer your Q. Just making a pitch because I love my mp3 player.

I have a pretty dern good Sony CD-MP3 Walkman (with G_Protection, whatever that is!) - It has never skipped and I am not exactly gentle with it during my workouts. The style number is D-CJ01, although it may have upgraded since last I got it. It retailed for somewhere around $200Cdn. Hope this helps :)

You should check out the iPod from apple. It is about the size of a wallet and can hold your whole music library on it. You can get one off ebay for around $200 american!! It would replace your diskman just fine.

I have a Philips "Jogproof" portable CD player that works well for walking. Never have jogged, so I don't know about that, but mine also came with an adapter cassette for the car, and I've not had it skip while driving yet. I also like MP3 players.

I probably wouldn't have thought of that. Off to eBay I go.

YES!!! Mp3!! If you have then on your computer or have access to them buy the Rio Sport...small, comes with a clip and even a band that wraps around your arm! I LOVE IT! It never skips (of course) and it plays a ton of music. You can get it at Best Buy. Not too expensive too! I will NEVER go back to CD's again! :)
