Does any body know some good excercises for increasing the muscle mass in the forearm area?

Forearm curls are great for building a huge forearm. Its sort of like a reverse grip preacher curl. You grab a curly bar with your knuckles pointing to the ceiling and just curl it.

If you have never done this workout before, I suggest starting low, its a really killer at first.

As mentioned, those are great. You can also do reverse cable curls, this is pretty awesome, as you have the resistance from the cable as a consant tension pulling back, this will get the top part of the forearm. Now go over and do standing wrist curls, simply grab a dumbbell of your desired weight, the heavier the better, and using your arms strictly as "hooks", curl the weight to your fingertips and back up to our palms. Do as many reps of these as you can. You can add reverse grip barbell wrist curls also for an added kick. simply stand with your back to the barbell loaded with your desired weight, and again, using your arms just as "hooks", curl the weight behind your back in the same manner. You should have an awesome pump by now with the veins popping.

You can also do 'suitcase' handle exercises, take some dumbells and with out moving your arms, which are at your sides, point the dumbell ends towards the floor in front of you and then behind you (holding them like a suitcase handle).
Upright rows always make my forearms sore.

Behind the back barbell wrist curls are also good, I love/hate them !
