Does anyone know for sure... i have heard that you can train abs and calves daily. Others say they are a muscle like any other.. only train once, twice tops, per week.
I tend to do stes of 40-50 decline bench crunches, 20 straight up and twenty rotating, at a pretty high incline b/w each new exercise. It gives my work out a little more of a cardio blast through out. I also does some calves at the end of ech work out.
Good or bad?

Depends alot on your goals. Calves are/can be trained more often, they are always used, alot of weight on them daily, so recovery is quick. I think I would at best opt though for 3 times per week, but there is always the case of priority training, that is doing exactly what you do with calves even on off days from them. This can work, throwing in a set of calf work at the end of each workout, one set to failure. Abs, on the other hand, are dependent on your goals. If you just want a flat stomach, doing them everyday can help in the regard of calories burnt(thus referring to your cardio blast). But you will see no "six pack". If you want the six pack, then you need to train them with resistance, and much less frequently, I like twice per week, at the very most 3 times, but I feel even this is too much. They are muscles like any other, and so need to be trained and developed in the same way, with resistance to induce growth, and then rest and proper diet.

I like to train my abs for endurance one day during the week, and for size (with resistance) a seperate day, with a day inbetween.
I agree with bbfit about calves - hit them at as many angles as you can, three times a week, with recovery days inbetween.

I apprteciate your advice. Right now I am just looking to "lean out". I know diet is a HUGEW part of it.. and I have altered that and made progress, but i want seperation in the calves.. and I want them higher, but I would tend to think that is genetics!?
Thanks again for your expertise!
