I've been working out for about four months now and I'm kind of bummed. When I started, I weighed 192 and had a 41.5 waist. Now I weigh 186 and have a 40.5 waist. I haven't seen the results I want and Im kind of bummed. I lift 5 times a week and do 3 days of cardio a week. I try to eat 5-6 small meals per day and I try, let me stress try to eat properly. Is there anything I'm missing here? i feel great, much better than I did before. I want to get to 170 lbs by the end of the year. Is this a reasonable goal?

You feel great and much better than you did - well that is certainly an accomplishment in itself. As you may already know, muscle weighs more than fat so you have probably lost more fat than you think with the routine you have described, so go by the way your clothes are fitting as a guide rather than what the scales are telling you. Diet is also extremely important, and you mentioned that you are trying to eat properly - perhaps even closer attention to this important factor will help - measure and be precise because it is very easy to make mistakes in diet. Good luck

It took time to put on the weight and it'll take time to get rid off it as well........
Instead of following the balance, you should get your body fat compositition checked. Maybe you'll actually be surprised to see how much you've lost!! (o;
Good luck!
