I just had to post a message and toot my own horn. First a little background..In Oct 2001 I was my heaviest at 263lb standing at 5'11". I looked awful and felt it too. I was eating anything and drinking a 3 liter Coke everyday until one day I got extremely dizzy. The doc said put me on high blood pressure medicine and said that I needed to lose weight. I had a 1 yr old daught and wanted to be around to see her grow up so I changed my eating habits. As of Feb of this year I was down to 238lb but still looked out of shape and I found this website. At first I did the at home exercise program and then onto free weights. As of today, I am weighing in at 220.5lbs, have not drank a Coke since the dizzy day, still watching what and how I eat ( notice I did not say diet ), and now if I do flex, I am proud of what I see. Also, I have not had to take the blood pressure medicine for about 7 months since my bp has decreased into the normal range. I still have a long way to go ( I would like to get to 195lb ) but I feel that I am well on my way and am enjoying the trip there. This is an excellent site and I thank everyone for their knowledge and support

Asimmer, I'm right where you are on that one. Too bad. I'm in need of some help there. Guess I'll have to do a search or start an embarrassing post.
Still, great job ATIGER - I'm sure your daughter is enjoying having a more energetic dad to play with :)

ATIGER, WOW, great, great job. Congratulations to you. Inspirational accomplishments like yours show us that this is possible, and keep others motivated. No meds, how cool is that?? A high 5 to you, in fact, 2 of them!! Keep up the great work, glad we could be a part of it. Can't wait to see that next post when you reached your final goal!
