BBQ season again........
What you guys think about tuna and other fish burgers.
I had a salmon burger on the weekend and it was pretty good.
I`m just not sure about the nutrition value.
...any thoughts ?

I've BBQ'd both tuna burgers, whole salmon, crab, shrimp, etc. It all makes for good eatin'. By themselves, their value is fantastic; it's what people start putting on them that ruins it: cream or butter sauces, etc. Most of the time, I just like to wrap them in foil with a ton of spices, and throw them on the grill. Of course, there's nothing like grilled lean beef or chicken, either..... Yum!
And I know what you mean about the time of season - as soon as the temp goes up, something starts a-stirrin' in me (maybe elevated Test...LOL!) making me feel like I gotta go burn something!

I made an incredible marinade this weekend for chicken. Let it soak overnight and grilled the breasts for some chicken roll ups. It was outstanding and I still have enough left for chicken breast lunches!

I haven't tried tuna burgers, but tuna steaks (ahi) are great on the grill. I put 'em in a zipper bag with a little olive oil, some lemon juice and a crushed clove of garlic for an hour before grilling. The trick is to not overcook 'em. Swordfish and halibut steaks are good this way too! You can also make kabobs by cutting the fish into large chunks before marinating and put on skewers with large pieces of purple onion, colored peppers, mushrooms, squash, etc. Add a little wild rice and you've got dinner!

Nothing like Salmon grilled on the old pit! They sell some great marinades at the store. kind of makes me think of a funny story. I was grilling salmons steaks and steak outside my apt., there was a guy who lived in the same complex as me that was kind of off a bit. I always tried to talk to him. Well, anyway, I was q'ing up this stuff, had them almost completely done, he comes over and asks what I was doing, picks up the plate and puts his nose right on the food!! "This smells great!" I didn't know what to do! Needless to say, I ditched all the food, what a drag. I guess you had to be there.
