Ive been hyped to start a new workout routine and started benching heavily just yesterday. I came accross an old friend that has huge stretch marks due to benching for the last 5 months. He went from 150 bench to over 200 in that time. I want the same type of gains without getting them. Any ideas on how to avoid them or treat them?
Please help me out.

To try preventing stretch marks you need to drink enough water, eat good fat AND of course hydrate your skin (using a good cream!) at least once a day.

I seem to get stretch marks from doing the excercises themselves rather from any growth. After a work out or the next day I'll have red blood lines mostly on my shoulder area. Is this caused from my skin being stretched while against the padding of the bench? The marks go away in a couple of days.

I had the same thing happen shaolin... my pants got smaller...I lost weight, yet I got a few new stretch marks. It's disgusting. Whatever you do, don't use vitamin E oil like a lot of people say. New studies show that it actually makes them worse..and I found out that it's true the hard way.

Cocoa Butter lotion works relatively well, I've only gotten small stretch marks and they aren't very noticeable.

I'm sure most of us have them where the delts meet the pecs, at least most guys I've met who train regularly. War wounds. Just part of the game. Do you ladies get those?

i have been trying to get rid of my stretch marks for so long, does weight loss make them go away, or does it make them worse?

Some people are more prone to stretch marks than others....Ask plots of moms....most say they have them and many are lucky and managed to get none. I have many on my lower abd due to weight loss (80+lbs). They are less visible now than before. Stay well hydrated inside and out.
