Ok, Hi all. I go to the gym usually three times a week
routine is:
cardio 5 mins on bike 20 mins on treadmill 5-10 mins on rotex or rowing machine 5 mins on recliner bike
machines abductor adductor leg raise
all 3 sets of 15-20 reps.
Usually burn off 200-250 calories each time. I've been doing this for six weeks but not noticed any change. I do eat a lot healthier than I used to, but still do eat some sweet foods.
I want to lose excess fat and tone up. Especially want to get a bit slimmer on abs and thighs. Will these leg machines make my thighs bigger tho? Not quite sure what they do.
Thanks

-------------- IF YOU CAN STILL ITCH YOUR NOSE AFTER ARM DAY, GO DO ANOTHER SET!!!

Try lifting before your cardio. Lift heavier. Did it take you only six weeks to get out of shape? Give it time - your body is an amazing machine but it has to get used to what you are doing. Good luck!

Thanks. I know I must seem a complete beginner to you lot, but I thought more cardio was good to lose fat? sorry, don't know what HIIT is, I'll do a search on the site tho. So these weights aren't gonna increase the size of my thighs are they. Just a bit paranoid about that, won't they build muscle and make me bulky?
and yeh, I pinched the name from Thundercats!

THUNDERCATS,THUNDERCATS,THUNDERCATS. Man I loved that show, it's still on by the way. I have to admit, I do sit down and watch it sometimes though, nothing wrong with that. Like mutt said, definately add more weight training. Try a circuit training type workout. Just focusing on the adductors and abductors isn't the best thing to do. And I would recommend that you speak to a trainer or somebody at your gym with fitness knowledge to talk to you about the different machines and what they do. When it comes to health and fitness, knowledge is key, you need to learn some of the basics in order to maximize everything you do in the gym. I don't want to sound mean, but it's not a good thing when you don't know what a machine you are using even does. Health and fitness is a life long journey, learn as much as possible along the way and have fun. Good luck.
