I am new to this website, and can't believe the great information and message board available here.
I currently 309lbs, its hard to believe but the scale does not lie. I start my 12 week program today. I want to lose at least 100lbs by the end of the year.
Has anyone ever lost that amount or close? I need some pointers. I have a bowflex and I have been using that; I also use trimspa to help jumpstart my motablism (sp).

I have dropped close to 100lbs. Remember to make small goals not just the 100lb goal. Email me if you like and I can answer anymore questions. fit2gether@hotmail.com

Hiya! I'm fairly new here myself, so I won't try to give you any pointers. I'd probably lead you wrong. :) I just wanted to say congratulations on the first step! Half the battle is deciding you are ready for a change. :) I can understand where you are coming from. I started at 237lbs myself and I should be around 135-150. I am now at 212. Stay dedicated! I think you will find that this site is wonderful!!

I weigh in at 312. I have in the past lost 60 or so lbs. The trick is to not give up.....stay the course. See the end result in your mind. Small reachable goals are needed, then as you make those goals set harder to reach ones. Also do not beafraid to eat...LOL the fastest way to giving up is to starve yourself. ALso lift weights as much or more than the cardio. I know Iknow it sounds farfetched, but it does work. Good luck and feel free to email me or anyone of use here if you need to...

Congrat's on the first day of a healthy life Nalaska. I did the same...and lost 50. It took me just under a year. But I went to the gym, tossed the food crap out the window and ate better. I get plenty of rest and I HAVE ENDLESS ENERGY. Keep us posted. Its been almost three years now and my health is a lifestyle. I LOVE how it makes me feel after workouts. I thought I would miss the food I was tossing but when I got into a size 4.....girl there isnt one thing on this planet that good :) CANT WAIT TO SEE YOUR BEFORE AND AFTER SHOTS. PROTEIN DRINK CHEERS TO YOU. :) LOL
