Once there was a little boy. He was your normal young man, he liked to play outside, watch tv and the usual stuff kids do. One day when he was in 6th grade he woke up to realize that he was fat. Now of course this had not happend over night, but there it was a belly and little boobs were there. Soon he was depressed and the kids being kids at school made his life a living hell. All through middle school and high school his weight gained. Why when he left high school he was 5'9" and weighed at 275. He could not run a half mile or do many pushups. Of course he told himself, that it was not all his fault after all his dad was heavy etc. He made excuses. Flash to 2nd year of college, he got on a scale and jumped off in his jogging pants( all that fit him) when the scale reached 300. That hurt him 300 here he was 24 years old weighing in at 300 and the only thing he could wear was jogging pants. The depression deepened. He was on medication for it but it was not helping. After a little research he found the meds he was on casued weighgain. In a fit of enlightenment he went off the meds, that Christmas break he bought 2 30 lb hex shaped dumbbells ( all they had) and started a program of curls, sit ups, hammer curls and tricep exercises, as well as pushups. Lo and behold in a short time he found that he could do 4 sets of 25 pushups and in 3 months went from a 48-50 pants to a 42. He was on his way. That fall he met a friend that made him start lifting free weights and run. After just one week he could, for the first time in his life run a mile. He dropped the weight till he reached 235lbs. His strenght went up. Now for a downside, he left college 19% bf, 230lbs. Life got in the way, he moved out of his folks home still working out but forgetting the run afterwards....soon he ws back to his old weight of 300+. Was he depressed. a little but he had met a beautiful woman gotten married and had a wonderful son. What has he learnd since? He will loose the weight again and run like he did, but more importantly he knows now what needs to be done and that it can be done...do not give up, keep at it. Take a page from his book, he could not eve run .25 of a mile, though even at 312 now he can still gt .5 of one....LOL ok it is me LOL I mean it to all that despair it can be reached what ever your goals are!!!!
