i am 6'4" and have been lifting weights for a good year and a half. I am strong in curls and i can bench around 255 once. I also can deadlift 315 ten times. My question is why does my height make my bennch week. I have a good sized chest but my max won't go up and i was wondering if it has to do with my height. Some people have told me i should be stronger cause im tall

It is related to your height. I m not saying that tall guys can not bench heavy. But look at the actual movement. If a short guy benches the range of motion is less then a tall fella. Therefore, it is easier foe a smaller gent to be able to lift more on that then a tall guy. But do not let that prevent you from trying it will just take longer. is all.

Mutt may be right. Do you have corresponding long arms? Whatever the case may be, this is just more reason to focus even harder on the bench, and really push for some numbers.

My arms are long compared to my other friends. there a normal length i guess but yes they are definetly longer than average. My arms are really strong but its when i do flat barbell that my chest seems weaker. I can lift more in dumbells than people who can out flat bench me

Like I said it will take time if it really is something you want to do make it a priority in your workouts. And remember that the shoulders and tris and the secondary groups that you use in that so make sure you make them even stronger than they are right now.
